I know he is pissed he spent his prime years making Dante a career. Wasn't Dante out of the league soon after Moss left?![]()

Moss said this nearly a decade ago, "I can do everything Rice can do & things he can't. I'm better than him".
.
I got no problem with him saying it. He's not, though, but there's no issue.
I know that I have never, in all my years of watching football, seen a more gifted or dangerous receiver than Randy Moss. He could have a game where he only caught three balls but it would be for 140 yards and 2 TDs.
Daunte getting his knee blown apart the season after Randy got traded did more to knock him off than anything. He actually held on for 5 more seasons after that, but he was never quite the same.
They actually had a good thing going when they were together. He pretty much disappeared until he got to New England and then disappeared again when he left. Outside of Brady, he never had the better chemistry with any QB other than Culpepper.
The problem is that he can't and never has done everything that Rice has.
He had the natural gifts and the more "talented" and "explosive" WR.... but dude rarely blocks, doesn't run through the middle of the field, and can't even remotely run routes as well as Rice.
Rice was right when he said Moss wasted a lot of his talent and could have been the goat (and he still is top 5 wide receiver of all-time).
Rice beats Moss easily on stats, rings, being the complete player, team leader.... I mean where can anyone honestly say Moss beats Rice on anything beyond being the bigger deep threat because of his ridiculous speed and athleticism.
It's easy to pile on the "only play sometimes" myth, but how much more could Moss have gotten done? There's only so many plays a game, so many passes, how much greater could he have been? 49ers were champs before Rice got there...Moss didn't go to a championship level team. He got them a play from the Super Bowl, but those teams were never complete. Same with the blocking & route running, they all play into his lazy narrative.
The whole deep ball thing is like asking Shaq to shoot jumpers like Ewing or Hakeem. He played with the best possession receiver to ever play the game, why would he work the underneath & you got Carter there??? He worked underneath in NE & was pretty effective.
He'll never be considered greater than Jerry, but he's the main person I'd expect to say he is.

Daunte was having an abysmal season before he got hurt. It's amazing that Moss put up the numbers he did with Culpepper. Moss went to play with more second-rate QBs in Oakland.![]()
You can't take years off and be considered the greatest...
Never saw Rice quit on plays...as I did Randy many times, especially here in New England.
Moss was great, maybe even second to Rice...but better, nah.
Moss forgot that people prefer false modesty over genuine confidence (uppitiness) in Black male public figures.

Stop letting jealous white men tell you what a sport player does on the field. Heck most of the guys saying that bullshit have never played or knew if he was hurt.
Fuck outta here with that bullshit. I've watched games for decades. Rice went all in ... Moss walked through plays sometimes. Aint no cracka convincing muthafuckas of things real football fans could see with their own eyes.
Decades?

Moss bullshitted when he was in NE
