<strong>UFC President Dana White</strong> needs to do something quick or risk losing one of the most popular fighters in the <strong>Ultimate Fighting Championship</strong>.

&nbsp;

<strong>Quinton "Rampage" Jackson</strong> is adamant that he will only fight one more time for the organization, then he will leave for what he hopes are greener pastures. And by greener, I mean more money. The problem for Jackson is that the UFC has a stranglehold on the sport.

&nbsp;

The UFC's parent company <strong>Zuffa, LLC</strong> has bought out <strong>World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), Pride Fighting Chamionships, Strikeforce</strong> and <strong>World Fighting Alliance (WFA)</strong>. What that means is if you plan of fighting in mixed martial arts you will either fight for the UFC or starve.

&nbsp;

In the past week Rampage has twice stated he's done fighting for the UFC after his next bout.

&nbsp;

<em><strong>"I feel sorry for my next opponent, no matter who or what it is,"</strong></em> Jackson wrote via Twitter several days ago. <em><strong>"I will fight whoever they put in front of me — I always have — but it will be my last fight in the UFC. I have other things on my mind. I didn't say I would be done fighting; I just said I'm not fighting for the UFC (u fight cheap)</strong></em>."

&nbsp;

According to <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mma-cagewriter/rampage-jackson-unhappy-pay-wants-fight-outside-ufc-170057099.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Yahoo Sports</a> Jackson was paid <strong>$325,000</strong> for UFC 96 in 2009. A win against <strong>Keith Jardine</strong>. Since that time he has fought five more times in the Octagon with only two wins. One of those losses was a championship fight against <strong>Jon "Bones" Jones</strong>.

&nbsp;

It's being reported that the UFC has asked Rampage to take a pay cut because he is losing audience "appeal" which is probably what set him off.

&nbsp;

Rampage's record now stands at <strong>32-10</strong>. At 33-year's old his options are limited, but despite being told he has lost his "appeal" fans still like to see him fight because he goes for the knockout every time. But his temper may get the best of him. Check out his most recent Twitter rant below.

If this keeps up we may not be seeing much more of Rampage in the Octagon.</a>

I love Rampage but he is 33 and near the end of his career; he isn't half the fighter is used to be. I don't this ends well for him

More money??? How about more wins? :dunno: Ramp is my dude, but, c'mon, son. Dana/UFC didn't just get cheap, yesterday. If he'd rather go make that Hollywood money, just say that.

Some truth to this. But also more truth to what he is saying. Big draws like him are clearly underpaid and he was fucking robbed in that Forrest fight.

That payday is a joke if accurate. Saying Page is losing audience appeal is another joke. They simply have leverage on him now that Dana has a new pet negro as his mascot. Page isnt the fighter he once was but he is still a top draw for UFC. :smh:

Rampage hasn't won in a minute. To keep making big bread in UFC, you need to keep winning. Rampage hasn't done that. Matter of fact. Rampage isnt even considered a top contender any more for the light heavy belt.

No questions his argument is noble. But his timing is off! He no longer has the clout; he is been on a losing streak. I think Jones and Silva would have a greater impact than Rampage. May be he should get with them.

This won't end well for Jackson. Maybe if he would have beaten Bader but he didn't and he has no weight in this argument...

His last exciting fight was UFC 92 against Wanderlei. Hardcore fans aren't that excited to see him anymore, maybe the casuals but his been very stale the past few years now. A losing streak ain't gonna help his cause either.

IT has been said on here so it doesn't need repeating, but Rampage has lost a lot of his big fights. At this point he should be trying to fight for Rogans job or color (no pun intended) commentary on some of the minor/TV UFC shows

Man Rampage needs to leave that shit alone and go to professional wrestling or to Hollywood. You don't gotta slave yourself for that UFC money.

Exactly negro didn't do shit against Bader. And the worse part about it was the fight happened in Japan where his fucking career sky rocketed. :smh: And UFC pay has always been shitty so why is homey complaining now? He's on a losing streak and came in over weight in Japan homey has no leverage.

He showed up over weight and lost the last fight. Lost 20 percent of his purse and didn't get a win bonus. Rampage was my dude, but he is losing respect.

hmmm. reminds me of something roger mayweather said about dana robbing his fighters ... has ramp been talkin to roger ? :eek:

aint like he started yesterday. dude has been doing this for a minute, has a name and wants compensation commensurate with that status.

problem is (1) he ain't won in a loooooong time. and (2) ufc is the only game in town and can pay whatever they want to any fighter. as cool as he is, if rampage leaves tomorrow, nobody will be talking about him a year and a half from now

Just imagine how that conversstion would go. You would need a translator for both of them:lol::lol::lol: 2 funny dudes right there

i agree with this. the wwe would love to have him and would more than likely pay him more.

:yes:

I think it's time for him to let it go and go get some of that WWE money. Dana's been underpaying him for years and he's been complaining for years. Fight the Shogun fight and let Vince pay you twice as much as Dana for a WrestleMania match next year.

I think talk of him not having won in a long time is a little overstated. He lost his last two fights but won the two before those. He's like Eddie Murphy: he might roll off some bad losses but attracts fans based off his name and can make a good run at any time.
