Question on Bootleg software…

Peace fam, quick question. I obtained a copy oh QuickBooks POS from “Somewhere” and I have it loaded on my laptop and becoming familiar with it. While doing research I’m finding that I can build my own POS system for about $500 using my laptop and adding a barcode scanner, usb cash draw and barcode printer.

My question is. Would you guys advise against using this jacked POS software? Cause this shit costs like $700 beans…

Of course. You knew that was a crazy idea when you made this thread. I'd never do any kind of financial transaction on a computer with cracked software from dubious sources. A broke ass Chinese dude working on his PhD in computer science has nothing better to do than crack a piece of software and add code that sends him every password, credit card number etc. entered using it. He blows a weekend slogging away with a hex editor, seeds that bad boy on Bit-torrent, and kicks back and waits for a sucker.

If you don't want to spend money for the software, you could look for an open source solution (there's a bunch of them out there.) And the code is right there for your perusal. Hell, you could even compile it yourself were you so inclined.
