Question: if you add up the stats, results and trophies did LeBron have the best season ever? The reason why I ask, is because I remember during the season the player efficiency rating (P.E.R.) showed that LeBron was having the best statistical season ever, However at season's end, he wound up falling just below Jordan rating of 31.89 with a respectable league leading, 30.80
That year Jordan won the MVP but failed to reach the finals much less the finals MVP.
Now if you throw in his monster playoffs (one of the best in the history of the game) capped by the season MVP as well as the finals MVP, could this be the best season ever for a NBA player?

He put up very good numbers, won his 'ship & the mvp, but I think it would be hard to say that its the best season ever since it was a shortened season.

Sure it was a shorten season but also a much tougher season, due to the condensed schedule (just look at all the injuries suffered). Plus if you throw in the pressure, scrutiny, and high expectations, he had, not to mention the no excuses bounty on his head from day one...:smh: Can't remember anyone but MJ having to go through a season under that much duress.

It might not be fair, but I think the best season ever has to go to the guy who won MVP, defensive player of the year and then finals MVP as well.

The Dream in 93-94.

A couple of factors, 94 was a off season for the NBA, with their best player playing baseball, and his Player Efficiency Rating has never been any where as close to either Jordan or James.. Plus everyone knows James is the real defensive player of the year, Tyson Chandler  and some here were actually yellig for Ibaka:lol::lol: I think during the playoffs, James exposed that myth...
That said, I say bringing up Hakeem is a great find, because the Dream was a true Beast!
