What's the max income you can make to claim the EITC with no dependents? I'm trying to claim it but maybe I make too much.

Saw that before making the post.

According to that I should barely qualify but never get it. Used Taxslayer last year and TaxAct this year. Turbotax before...never recall getting it. Figured maybe it was only for parents and looked into it.

Maybe my investments kicked me out. I'll try to see if I can speak to a professional at TaxAct.

Damn I didn't know this. Gonna have to do this with my investment property

How To Lower Taxes on Passive Income
Even if you’re receiving taxable income, there are steps you can take to reduce your tax bill. Some of the best options include the following:

Use Tax-Deferred Accounts
By keeping assets in tax-deferred accounts like IRAs and 401(k) plans, you won’t have to pay tax on your income and gains until you withdraw the money from the account. In the case of a Roth IRA, you may never have to pay tax on your distributions at all. For traditional IRAs, 401(k) plans and other qualified retirement accounts, you also might be able to claim a tax deduction on your contributions.
