Question about Leadership

SOL I need your help answering some questions about men being leaders in relationship; things they do, how they act, stand, walk, and talk that communicate they are leaders.

Below I have constructed an example of a conversation between a man and a woman in which he demonstrates leadership qualities.

For example, setting up first date, a man can communicate some leadership qualities by doing the folowing:

Man: "I am going to take you to a really cool place this saturday."

Woman: Where?

Man: "don't worry girl, just wear sneakers and short pants and prep yourself for an adventure. [subtle instruction (leadership)]

Man: blah...blah...blah.

Man: oh, and meet me at 5th street infront of the pizza parlor at 2:23pm [subtle instructions]

Woman: Why 2:23?

Man: I will tell you about that on our way to where we are going. it's a really funny story, it will become our little inside joke. [future projection, sub communicates that in the future when he brings her into his reality, it will be fun reality. (attractive quality)]

Woman: oh, ok

Man: I will take care of all the rest, you just show up with that inner glow and sassy aura, I saw when I first met you.[complement, plus subtle instruction (leadership)]

*The above is based on the assumption that she digs him and she already sees him as fun and exciting guy. If thats the case she will more than likely show up for the date.

Additionally, she will take the subtle instruction of wearing sneakers and shorts. What he has communicated there is that "I am fun and I can lead." Which are all attractive qualities.

I do not wish for you to analyze the above situation. I am only showing the convo as a way of illustrating the little subtle ways in which a man can demonstrate leadership qualities. I prefer for you to give me your own opinions. Now please help me on my research endevors by responding to the following questions:

1. What are some qualities, actions, and body languages that communicates leadership thoughout an entire relationship from starting to end.

2. Upon first interaction, can you tell if the man is a leader? If so how?

3. What are things that a man do and says on a first date that lets you know he is a leader?

4. If he can keep you for a year, what leadership roles, qualities are you expecting him?

1. a man that follows through, knows how to be on time and actually cares about his future.
2.Yes-by his body language and the tone of his voice-and how he chooses his words.
3-See the end of the above answer.
4-The only thing I expect is that for him to show me who he is and stay true to his word. Whatever that may be.

First off, if I got told that for a date I'd me mad intrigued.

1. A clear thought process; unbiasedness; sound judgment

2. Yes. How they carry themselves; speak.

3. If he can get what he wants out of those around him without being an ass- and I don't mean sex. I mean like a clean table at the place you go to for dinner, or a better attitude out of a ignant friend at that last cookout.

4. There are some decisions tha I don't like making, so if I say "I don't care" or "It's up to you", make the decision. When it comes to big choices I'd respect you to take my input into consideration but if you ask and I say you would make the better judgment or if you know you would make the better one if you know I don't know, surprise me with the good news. Sometimes we get tired of making all the decisions from the big ones to the small ones- then you, (the men), get mad after wards with "You shoulda..."

First and formost ladies thank you for your input. I am most greatful. I conducted 6 interviews yesterday and I do consider your responses mini interviews, the data you provide is rich. After all I am Methodist, i work via methods. If I have not asked you a follow up question is because you consicley answered the 4 questions. If there is anything else you wish to tell please feel free.

I have a few clarifications though

the way he speaks
Expound. What do you mean by the way he speaks? How, tonality, choice of words? banter? jokes? voice projection?

His choice of words, for one. If he talk like he been on the streets doing who know what with a fifth grade education, chances are he's not the type of leader I want in my life. Even if he has a fifth grade education, his choice of words need to be formed into coherent sentences that speak authority and "respect me" in their delivery. Oh yeah, tone is important too. Knowing when to say something generally and knowing when to talk with a purpose goes a long way too.

I'm not sure if I am explaining it right but it's like you know when you hear a woman talk if she is about business or if she is about your business. Same difference. Guess it might be a skill you can develop after listening to too much bullshit.
