Quarterbacks Worst Nightmare

With the possibility of a 2011 NFL season looking less and less likely with each passing day, it appears as though a majority of our football highlights will have to come from the Canadian Football League. Just one week into the season they already provided us with one of the hardest hits we can expect to see from any football league all year. It was delivered by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats’ Jamall Johnson on Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Buck Pierce.

Pierce was somehow able to remain in the game, despite being decleated and having his helmet knocked off his head. What is even more impressive is the fact that he was able to lead his team to the 24-16 victory, despite trailing by a score of 16-9 at the time of the hit.

Looks like the Bombers should thank Johnson for delivering a much needed, and awfully painful, wake-up call.

Good hit, but he left his feet. Had he been lower to the ground and scooped him the same way, then the QB would have been out indefinitely!

Co-sign...Not much momentum out of that hit...the QB wasn't that much hurt...

I'm mad that the QB had to pull that Tecmo Super Bowl pose when he was on the ground, though...
