I haven't yet, but I intend to. I was just telling my wife and my sons that it would be foolish to not throw at least $10 into it. We waste that on cold drinks and chips about every three days. If it turns into something, great. If not, well we were gonna blow it on trash anyway. So what's the harm? Hell I've actually spent $20 on lottery tickets in one week.

I think everyone should at least get one share. In other words, when it's said and done, let's be mad we didn't invest enough rather than not at all. This brings me back to the Bitcoin thing. With as many hundreds of dollars as I blew (on garbage) in 2010 alone, I could've easily thrown $200 into that, and be a millionaire right now.

Exactly brother. I'd love to see everyone on here save all of their miscellaneous spending money (fast food, lottery tickets, a cold drink or bottled water here and there, etc), and all of their loose change at the end of each day, for one month, and buy shares with whatever they have left. Then go back to whatever you normally do, but take that chance since it just may turn into something big. If it doesn't, well you were gonna trash that money anyway. At least this way it goes toward an opportunity to be something big.
 
Last I invested I utilized USAA, how do I do it without going through a brokerage. Anyone know any reputable sites where I can do it my self?
 
i read the info, the only thing i dont like is if you go through their subscription service to buy stock, they charge a $25 dollar transfer fee. kinda steep, especially if you only buying a few shares
