Pssst.....Absent dads, your son is growing up soft

I have been around a bunch of kids lately who all have no fathers in their lives except on weekends or holidays.

Mothers growing young boys trying to teach them to be men, trying to teach them what they couldn't recognize.

If a woman has a problem figuring out who is a good man, could she really be able realistically to raise her son to be a man?

These young boys were emotional, whining all the time and emotionally soft........

How do you make a man out of a boy who is already 7 and soft?



To you young men, wrap it up.

Shit is getting too hectic to not be active in your child's life............

To the others already in the situation, I don't know what to say, let the other posters give some advice...............

Absent dads equal soft sons + deprived daughters. What I mean by deprived daughters is that in some cases without a father in the house. Girls grow up not knowing what a man's role is in the family unit or greater society. A good father models for his daughters the type of males they should be pursuing(morally upright/responsible/provider/protector/love of knowledge etc). You're absolutely right. When I first started dating my lady her son was MAD soft. Always whining about stupid shit. He was 10 years old and still wanting mommy to cut his meat for him (sometimes he still asks her to do it but I cut that shit off real quick when he asks), wants her to tell him what to wear, when he can eat balh blah blah. He's gotten A LOT better since I've been around though. Not to pad my self on the back but now he thinks a little more for himself. He used to ask how to do the most simple shit but I kept tellin him to figure it out cuz we ain't always gonna be there for him. Sooner or later he's gonna be on his own.

this lil fucker would even call her when she didn't come home right after work talkin bout, "where are you? Why aren't you home?"

Man I damn near went APE SHIT when he did that. I'm like, she's grown, she doesn't have to answer to you. She'll be home when she gets here.

I swear if he's askin his mama about that shit now, I can just imagine what he's gonna be like when he gets a girlfriend. He's gotten more secure in himself since I've been teachin him real man shit that a woman could never teach. But he still has some of those soft tendencies about him.

It's a work in progress but at least he's getting better.
