One thing I have learned is that athletes sports acumen is constantly overlooked as if they juts play it and don’t know it. The reality is far different most athletes know the history of their respective sport and can discuss it with intelligence. My son was running track in high school and all of a sudden he became a damn expert on the history of track and knew damn near all the history of runners in all past olympics and college, Used to annoy the hell out of me with that shit lol ..I say that to say I am not the least bit surprised that Gil can speak about this as he did.

I will say this about Agent 0, he worked extremely hard on his game. Basketball and knowing how to play and ball-out was never the problem. It was his immaturity that held him back and got him in trouble. If he didn't mess up by bringing guns into the locker room, who knows -- he could've been a good coach. I would still take him as a shooting coach though. That dude knows how to shoot!
Edit: Hopefully, Mr.Ball is open to shooting coaches that would want to work with his children. I remember awhile back Venus and Serena's father, Mr.Williams, wasn't open to other coaches training his daughters. They had some flaws in their game that needed fixing. Eventually, he relented and their games took off. Sometimes you need another set of eyes in a situation.

That knee fucked up Arenas. He was an offensive juggernaut. He was Steph before Steph.
That slowed him down a bit, but that's not what happened. Gilbert was doing some immature shit like bring guns into the locker room when he had beef with Javaris Crittenton, defecating in Swaggy P's( Nick Young) shoes, taking the rims off Swaggy P's car and leaving them on cinder blocks in the team parking lot, etc, etc.
Gilbert was wildin out! Abe Pollin (RIP) gave the dude a key to the arena and Gilbert would be practicing on his game at all times of the night, which is good. When he hurt his knee, Gilbert was training too hard to try to get back on the court. He rushed the recovery process. Dude was doing shit like running on an outside track with a parachute when he was still in the recovery process. Gilbert definitely has a strong love for the game and was a good dude. I was highly disappointed how things played out with his career. At least he still was getting big NBA checks up to last year.

Agent 0 used to be a cold blooded shooter. I'll take his word for it. Everyone i watched said the same thing about Lonzo before he came into the NBA. His release is just weird. I thought he was gonna get blocked all the time too. It takes wayyyy too long for him to shot the ball.

Lonzo has the tools to be a much better player than he's been so far. His issues aren't his talent, I believe his issues are mental. The kid has not been allowed to have a normal progression from high-school to college to the pros, and he has to wait of the unrealistic expectations his father put on him as a rookie, and the hatred his father has generated.
Once he matures, or his father goes away, I think his Improvement will Sky rocket. For 19 year old kid the pressure he's dealing with his incredible. i believe his pressure is up there with LeBrons rookie year, but with more of a negative connotation which is unfortunate because he definitely seems like a great Kid...
