Prince wasn't in Hollywood. He lived in MN because he hated that whole Hollywood scene. If you look at that Quincy clip again, you will see that Prince kept that lollipop out of Q's reach. He pulls it away. I don't think he thought Quincy would do that. He was just trying to respond to Quincy sticking the microphone in his face.
That whole exchange was because Quincy had originally tried to get Prince to sing on the We Are The World song and he refused. Prince wrote a song called "Hello" about the whole incident. Prince agreed to show up but told them he wasn't singing on it, especially since his rival MJ was in the forefront of the whole thing. Plus, Prince said he thought the song sucked. He got dragged over the coals in the media over that since so many stars put their egos aside to do it but he didn't. I think the song he wrote for the We Are The World project was called For The Tears In Your Eyes but its been a long time.
