Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert, Tom Petty and friends pay tribute to George Harrison with a version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Prince comes on at 3 minutes in, and lays down what is considered to be one of the greatest musical moments in rock and roll history. Guitar virtuoso, very beautiful, very impressive.

It was alright, ive heard much better solo's, Prince kinda goes off the beat and tone, and almost sounds like he's playing another song.

I like the freestyle nature of Prince's solo, but this is more in keeping with the actual song (while having a free form, as well). IMO What you think? :duno:

Upon further review: Prince's solo>>>Steve Lukather's solo... big time. Apologies for posting Steve's shit, fellas. :(

I still say, if we think of music as if it were Kung-Fu, Prince would have been the student of both Jimi Hendrix and James Brown. Mastering them both and throwing in his own little style. my 2

If it's a classic live Prince solo you want, it's hard to fuck with this.

It's incredibly hard to pick the greatest solo EVER, but Prince tore it down with this one. He definitely went hard on them dudes. It was a little arrogant, but who knows, somebody might've pissed him off, and he was the right person to do that anyway.

That makes sense since he claimed to have never heard of the song until he was asked to play on it at the concert.

George Harrison's son (a Prince fanatic) ask him to go in that way. You can see Prince look over a few times and get the nod from him and Tom Petty to keep going. Not sure how Eric Clapton felt about his classic solo getting smashed though. lol But, yeah, you could tell his 'showmanship' was a tad dipped in arrogance, but vintage Prince.

The best concert I ever went to in my life was PRINCE here in ATL in 2004.
He peformed about 3 hours.

He did a 45 minute ACOUSTIC SET. That was the best shit I ever heard. "Little Red Corvette" acoustic

Whenever Prince comes to town... it's worth whatever ticket price they charging.

Any person, young or old, No matter what color you are, no matter what kind of music youike, NEEDS to see Prince live before he's gone. You owe it to YOURSELF.

I've seen him 3 times, and I will readily pay 100 bucks anytime tpo see it again.

Theres no one else even comparable.
