I am sooooo NOT a Ashanti fan.....Am I the only one who thinks she cant sing?
And that cover is very Beyonce-ish
I don't mind her singing, but the picture is a direct biting of a beyonce photo. Not a good look.
I like Ashanti (first album) but I hope they use a different shot from this shoot her body looks uncomfortable

That doesn't even look like her body. She's heavier, with nicer, thicker legs.
Nothing new about marketing CDs with covers that bring to mind other albums and artists. it's done all the time. That's what those people get paid for. This one's a little blatant.

I feel like with an album titled "The Declaration" you can have a much stronger cover than just a typical this is me, here is my album, type of cover... ugh.. this is why less and less artists can make me buy cds.... tsk tsk..

She's a pretty girl, but all the weave and gimmicks and lighting and photoshop, etc. just take away from her beauty and "talent".

That'll be news to the huge number of folks who've enjoyed (and bought) her music over the years, not to mention those who've invested millions in her ultra-SUCCESSFUL singing/dancing/acting career (since childhood).

^^^Guess she was confused about how popular you are making Ashanti out to be ... she really isn't that great of a singer ... at all
She's a decent enough singer with an obviously distinctive voice who's sold millions of albums and scored a number of huge hits. I guess everyone who's signed her to contracts and bought her music is wrong. Only the fool who tried to embarrass her by posting her off-key mic check on YouTube is right. Folks are easily brainwashed by haters. I've heard her sing the National Anthem perfectly, live, without any accompaniment. She can clearly sing.
BTW, you don't have to be a "great singer" to make great tracks. And you don't personally have to like Ashanti's voice or her style by any means, but to dismiss her as a non-singer when she's been doing it successfully and professionally since childhood is just silly. You have to question where people are coming from when they take such cheap-shots.

Ashanti is a studio singer. She is put with the better producers and better songwriters (including herself) and a product is cooked up. She is cute and sexy. Add it all together and what you have is a product.
Products sale. Not all products that sale are good or even what they are cracked up to be. You know this and so do I.
