Racism is institutionalized and embedded in Amerikkkan culture. There is no avoiding it. They get kids at the cartoon level. The conditioning starts early. Foot-shuffling Sambo ass nigs believing the white boy's dream fall face first for that bullshit but the true key to success for a black man is awareness and overcoming adversity. Knowing is half the battle, not feigned ignorance. Pretending doesn't work. You have to be consistantly discussing things with your kids (deprogramming) and editing what they are exposed to and at what level. most folks just stick their kids in front of the t.v. and let it run them. If kids don't see positive images of themselves when they are young and only see little blonde-haired, blue-eyed whites as the heroes/damsels/princesses/princes, etc. then what conclusion is left? They don't have to see a negative image to feel excluded. Most of what a child knows at early ages is divided into good and bad. If they are taught white=good, they don't have to see black to think black is bad. They have already been conditioned as to what's good.
So fuck that Uncle Ruckus bullshit, homie. Slavery is a MINDSET. The shit is still being taught in full effect to this day. "Massa" tells you what he wants you to think. Wake up.

since slavery is a midset...why are we as "african americans" not just preaching about it..but doing something about it....actions do quite speak louder than words.. its easy to have so many people with different viewpoints on how society is "holding the black generation" down....
my opinion...it starts with this generation...and we complain why other race are passing us up....
knowing is half believing....seeing what the past has brought us from..should be enough to think positive and do something for our lives..we will never get out of the dark unless we chose to do it ourselves...
think about it...white society sees blacks as a group of complainers that think everything is rasicm..and lack of education...dont want to work, vote..but expect handouts.

You are already taking the wrong path in giving two shits about what white society thinks of us (unless you're one of them, which I suspect)
Whites want absolution from guilt over their inheritance of a stolen country built off the backs of blacks. They won't get it from many of us. Ask the Jews to forget the Holacaust and they would tell you to eat shit and die. I feel the same way since my ancestors are Black and Natiave American. You can't inherit the spoils of wrongdoing and expect the Ancestors' victim's children to welcome you. ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! Especially when the insitutionalization continues as it does. The process is in place and is still working and most whites just sit back and benefit from it or snicker or feign ignorance. You have no idea how many whites have said to me "My family just came to this country a couple of generations ago. They had nothing to do with slavery and the genocide of the Natives" as if that changes the FACT that just being white benefits them in this country. Fuck outta here with that "Kum-By-Ya" bullshit. We've tried integration and it FAILED. Its time to try EDUCATION and that starts with deprogramming the youth so that the next girl that does this study another 50 years from now gets a different result.
Oh and for your info, some of us are doing something about it.
Everybody can get off their asses and vote when local legislation tries to pass bullshit laws and we would see some changes that way as well.
Those who fail to learn from their past are doomed to repeat it. Think about THAT.jay said:i dont voice my views that much...but actions like this shows why we cannot rise up to the occasion..nobody wants to be proven wrong..in this situation, there is no right or wrong answer..
what you are stating are facts from the past..this is a new generation...suppose to be a new beginning...facts are to be taught, learn and set aside for our decendents...not to be the sole focus of why our society is acting the way it is.
do you truly believe that education that centers around negative image would help our generation to do better?? You act like were lock up in a cage with no room to do nothing but act black and be black...Your acting like the white's society is the zookeepers..(fbi, cia) and where lock in the pen.
is it that hard to actually..stop realize the past..but move to a (action plan)..im just tried of hearing about revolution..when no results have been made...only excuses.
*throws 2 cents in the bucket*
just my opinion...ie. im a young black male, that is trying to make something out of myself..sorry if i dont fit in the typical sterotype of what a black male suppose to become...i get frown on from my response...shows how my (brotha) or should i say my *african american relative* feels about my opinions....
think about it.
