Posted this in the Xbox thread, but this information needs to be spread to the masses.

I figure some might really love this... It's Free.. It's Easy and shockingly there is no lag in game play.

Behold NES, SNES, and Genesis emulator on your xbox one.

1. Put this link in your Microsoft Edge browser on your xbox one. https://nesbox.itch.io/x1
2. Move your NES, Snes, Genesis or Gameboy games to your ONE DRIVE.
3. Then just load the Rom. Shit works...
4. I would then make the nesbox link a pinned favorite for quicker star up.

It will take some time to get use to the controller.

Here is the info on the types of ROMS..

.smc (Super Nintendo)
.nes (NES)
.gba (Game Boy Advance)
.gbc (Game Boy Color)
.gb (Game Boy)
.gen (Sega Genesis)
.bin (Sega Genesis)
.smd (sega Genesis)

If your ROM is a zip file, the ROM file with one of these extensions will be found within the .zip (or .7z or .rar or whatever). Unzip and move to your one drive.

Do not rename the ROM extension.

Actually... It's about as easy as it gets. It's been improved since dude came out with the video. You just download a rom like normal and save it to the one drive. It takes like 20 seconds..
Yeah but it would be better if you could just save all the shit on the HDD. I remember back in the day I had all them systems saved on my modded Xbox

For like 1 day..... Microsoft slipped up and allowed an actual emulator to be downloaded to the xbox one through the Windows store. Sadly I missed out on it. If you were one of the lucky ones.. My hats off to you sir...

I'm actual ok with this.... I play roms on my office computer. So this allows me to play the same Roms on my xbox.

Can't find the blue box to add to the one drive, guess they killed it!

It's been updated... there is no blue box. You upload your Roms from in the screen.

1. Click on the Emulator window to start.
2. Then use the D-pad to select.... Add Rom from OneDrive.
3. Then go to Rom Library... and load game.
4. Enjoy game.

Now this is what Im interested in. I have an older PC hooked up to the computer in the man room. Good for NES, SNES, Genesis, and Mame. But Its not powerful enough to pull the PSX and N64 emulators properl and it aint serious enough for me to use my main PC for it.

Sadly Microsoft removed the n64 emulator from Xbox one but they can't stop the nesbox.

My cuz use to play these games on his Dreamcast... Do they have one for PS4?

Sadly no.... PS4 doesn't have an internet browser like Xbox and Sony took away the ability to install a Linux operating system on a PlayStation. So sadly right now there is no way.

i did everything from my phone...very simple once i figured it out.

1. download roms
2. extract roms then save to your onedrive account
3. open Microsoft Edge on Xbox One
4. go to website mentioned
5. click A button on the emulator box
(if a security message pops up on a different screen, just verify the information as correct and keep it moving)
6. load roms from onedrive
7. play yo fuckin games!!!!

i had 2 issues that i attribute to eating too much food and not taking my nap. it took me a minute to realize i had 2 onedrive accounts. one personal that i use with my phone and one you're given with Microsoft/Xbox One. the two accounts have to be the same. so whatever you use to log into your xbox account, use that to log into onedrive.

second issue was the security screen. every time i pressed A on the emulator box another screen would pop up. i wasn't paying attention that it was just asking me to verify that i was who i was saying i was ssssoooooo i kept backing out of the screen. when i finally slowed down and realized what was going on and clicked on APPROVE, the emulator opened and i was playing Mario World in no time at all.

i had to map my face buttons because Nintendo is ass backwards. on Xbox, it's in order from left to right. (ex. A,B/X,Y)
on Nintendo, it's backwards (ex. B,A/Y,X)
i switched those around and BAM i was good to go!

Good call I forgot that Nintendo was backwards.

Does this work with any of the emulators, like if I wanted to use the N64 or the Dreamcast ones?
