Planet of the Apes poster features ape with vest similar to DeRay Mckesson

Him getting a job with Baltimore's city government showed me what I already suspected after he turned the Michael Brown protest in to a photo op opportunuty, because he obviously wanted to get arrested for stripes
Exactly

Hes a broke bum nigga who seized opportunities from the detriment of black people

Those Jessie williams and Shaun king dudes will Forever's Be suspect

Talmbout he talked to some Hollywood ppl

U damn well they made that monkey to look exactly like you.

Foh

i started watching planet of the apes in the 60's and will watch this one too.

if you but hurt don't watch it......but why spoil it for those who don't have the itis ?

Because ninjas in here talking about they boycotting it or whatever the fuck I don't see an official spoiler thread so I thought fuck it lets discuss it here.

It was a very good movie btw could have been better and not my favorite movie of the year but it was good.

The ape in the vest was actually a salute to the original

He just thought he was that important and popular to be portrayed

Every time somebody say Deray I immediately think Deray David

Again...the CREATORS OF THE ORIGINAL MOVIES FROM WHICH THIS MOVIE IS BASED OFF OF have stated directly that the movie was race-based.

So what if the original preface of the movie showed a parallel between race in the 60's and the human /ape interactions?

Life in this country is racist ..

But if you watched the movies is it racial or racist?

There are very few movies that you can't make an argument race is entwined if you reach far enough.

Ad fuck Deray for saying vest makes it racist because I can remember when nobody wore those vests but crakkas.

Hmmm....I wonder as a kid watching these movies why I always rooted for the apes.

I wonder how many of you would be on the ledge threatening to jump if you watched Fritz the Cat

That is actually the whole point. Anyone that deflects from that, in regards to what these films are clearly portraying, is either a coon or a white supremacist. It is what it is.

So yeah... the ape wearing the new vest IN THE NEW MOVIE is clearly a parallel with Deray/BLM. Lots of evidence to back that up.

and just so you know conquest for the planet of the apes is not the original and the writer of it isn't the writer of the original nor the novel.

whats funny to me is some of you simple minded mofokrs that are in here trying to wax philosophical were the same cats in here proudly talking about what you were cooking for the 4th of July.

The first Planet of the Apes showed that crakkas had destroyed their world with war and nukes.....

The one after that showed how crakkas feared losing control and wanted to exploit the talking chimps.

So while you want it so badly to be racist it can also clearly be an indictment of white folks and how they fuck up everything. Even conquest showed white folks as evil oppressors and the apes resisted and revolted.

Once again racial isn't the same thing as racist except to the weak minded.

Saw the movie last night.

The made the White folks in the film look more biter & savage than anybody.

The old Ape that was wearing the vest was fucking hilarious!

I dont know if they tryna clown Deray or not, and like I stated before, I really dont care, for a few reasons. But the vest was put on for a reason. And it came from a collection of shit that the Ape got from Humans; e.g. that "Nova" thing that he gave to the mute girl.
