Plain-clothed San Diego Detective Puts Security Guard In A Chokehold & Arrests Him

Wait

What did I just watch

Man

I'm keeping my itchy on me till I die

Ima be on my @Coldchi shit

Even if I'm in the library ima be strapped

I don't even wanna be a father cause I can't imagine seeing this video of my seed getting choked up.

Didn't we just see Eric gardener

U know what

I'm out

dam....

I wonder what caused the off duty piglice officer to unleash his inner savage....

dude was security, most of those security guards secretly want to be police officers and have some understanding of their procedures...

Im curious as to what will be the outcome....

from what I gather, there mustve been some minor accident and the brother admitted he was at fault but the savage pig couldnt control his savagery..

There was no accident, just seems like the cop didn't like the way he was passed.

On May 5, Robert Branch was driving to work on Interstate 8 when he passed a Ford Fusion in front of him. After he passed the car, Branch said the Fusion's driver tried to force him off the road.

So this pig head is road raging with people and using his badge to justify his own recklessness?

Fuck the police.

He seems feminine, man. That's not good. That cop had no right to choke him. If he's not on duty then dude had the right to defend himself from these ego tripping pigs....

Choke hold has been illegal for 10 plus years everywhere. Eric Garner caught on camera dying by choke hold, cops not prosecuted or even charged. This dude is clearly being held in a choke hold on camera and nothing will happen to him. Why is that? It's because DA's will never prosecute cops unless it is more benefi$$$ial for them to do so. The Supreme Court ruled that cops are no longer constitutionally required to protect, just serve..... and they aren't serving us. The same Supreme Court has also ruled that cops cannot be legally held accountable for their ignorance of the law. I.e. if this pig says he thought he could restrain citizens however necessary, he didn't know he had to turn on his lights and sirens while performing the functions of his job, that he thought he could still ticket and arrest while off the clock.... etc, he could ultimately get off... Even though his job is to know the laws he is paid to enforce he can claim ignorance / incompetence and face no criminal charges...... This is the 'merica we live in today folks... Bullshit

cops are never 'off duty' if they see a violation. the only time they stop being cops is if they're fired or retire. but on the flip side if it's accurate that dude actually tried to run that brother off the road then he'll likely be suspended.....unless this is covered up.

Remember The Wire season 1 episode 2 and the beginning of episode 3 with officer Pryzbiluski (sp)? Of course it will be covered up. They will tell him to practice his story and get it straight for the board. By the time the board comes through he will have his story straight and will receive no punishment

Personally I would like to see a video where somebody grabs a cop who treats them like this and beats their face bloody. I don't know who you are. You did not show me identification and attacked me. When cops get killed I give fucks like...

One year ago. Did you do a search for police brutality? lol

Anyway, the outcome was this:

He sued the police department so they went back and found some old phone calls from 2013 when he threatened his then girlfriend. The judge allowed it to be used. So they added stalking charges. In the official response, the SDPD made a bullshit account of what happened. It's some Make A Murderer sue me so I destroy you.

Here is the response from the local paper, the Tribune.

The road raging macho off duty deputy ignored protocal and tried to arrest the guy without uniformed officers. The guy thought he was being robbed and car jacked. why should believe what could be a fake badge? This happens all the time. Call 911, drive to police station and don't get out of your car.

Grossly irresponsible to try to cite / arrest while in plainclothes and by yourself. Ward should have called a marked unit. I have to agree with Lee here... it sounds like he got POed and decided to puff up his chest. He created and escalated this situation. He should lose his job, and he should be individually liable for any damages here. The County should be immune to his bad acts... there is no Sheriff policy authorizing or endorsing cowboy moves like this. And if there was, identify the individual(s) who wrote and enforced it, and hold them accountable. The taxpayer did nothing wrong here.

This was a road rage assault committed on behalf of the taxpayers. The detective was upset about being cut off so he abused his power to enact revenge. The police are supposed to control a situation, not escalate it. There was no need to turn it into a physical altercation. The kid was holding camera. It was obvious that he wasn’t a threat. If he was concerned about his safety they he should have waited for uniformed officers to arrive. Cameras are kryptonite for some cops. Just turn one on and they go nuts. The detective obviously doesn’t have the proper judgement to serve the public. Let him go before he costs us millions.

The choke hold isn't illegal. It is against departmental procedure. They couldn't hit the cop with criminal charges just departmental.

He should never have got out the car. This is a situation where you keep driving, get your iron ready and call the Police yourself. Matter fact, drive to a public place, put on your panic alarm and scream fire to anybody within earshot immediately.

If not drive to a busy intersection, put your flashers on, shut the car off in the middle of the intersection and scream fire. You might look like an idiot but it will save your life and avoid a beat down or for me - avoid me having to shoot some individual who might be a cop and wants to play tough guy.

I know it sounds counter productive but NEVER get out the car to confront anyone about a road rage issue.

This could've ended worst than it did for that kid.
