2nd earthquake rocks New Jersey: USGS

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A second earthquake has rocked New Jersey just days after
a 3.0-magnitude quake shook the area, according to the USGS.
The USGS said a 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Hillsdale, which is about 65 miles away from Trenton, a little after 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

The earthquake could be felt as far south as Brooklyn and Newark, according to the USGS. One person reported feeling the quake as far north as Poughkeepsie.
“At 12:11pm a 2.7 magnitude earthquake was detected in Hillsdale and it was felt in Leonia and surrounding communities. We have not received any reports of damage,” the Bergen County Communications Center said in a statement to PIX11 News.
