I'm a Cowboy fan but man i'm not writing off the Eagles just yet. I think shit can go as good as the 2nd best in the NFC East to last in the NFC East. I just don't know. Every team in the NFC East made some foolish moves this offseason. But some of these foolish moves may work. Cowboys got rid of Crayton and Flozell and put Alan Ball at safety? If it works? There could be dominace.
Eagles got better at the safety position and got Sims from Detroit for basically nothing. But they got rid of McNabb for Kolb. Its realistic to expect a bumpy start for the Eagles. But if Kolb is ready to contribute now? Eagles are in the playoffs. Its all on Kolb. NFC East ain't no fucking joke on the pass rush. He has to see Demarcus Ware, Anthony Spencer, Jay Ratliff, Haynesworth, Andre Carter, Orakpo, Justin Tuck and Osi all 6 times a year. He's gonna be on his back a lot this season.
I just don't see how the Deadskins are going to do anything by just compiling over the hill past their prime talent every year. There's just so many things that has to happen for them to be a threat this season. McNabb has to be accurate and not throwing at niggas ankles all game and be healthy. Receivers need to look more than pedestrian. Secondary needs to continue their pretty good play in coverage. Someone needs to give Orakpo help on the pass rush. They gotta develop a running game. Just so many things.
Giants are another team I have no idea about. They miss out on the post season and have a decent offseason by just filling in holes. Lost the leadership from Antonio Pierce who was a liability in coverage however. I'm assuming Eli is injury-free so that should add some wins to their record if he stays that way. Receiving core is nothing to worry about. Running game is suspect. Linebackers are suspect. Defensive line may be suspecte. I use to consider their d-line the best in the league until last season. They showed their ass last season. Maybe injuries bit them. If healthy they should be a threat on the defensive line. I still don't think the defense has been as good since Spags left.
