I'm hoping that someone can help me with this: I'm looking to manage my finances a whole lot better. Can anyone recommend a good program? I checked online, and I see a few out there, but I'd have to try each one out. I'm looking for a program that pretty much covers all the bases (even tho I don't know which bases should be covered).

Quicken or QuickBooks will do. They have budgeting feature. Even Microsoft Money will work.

First post, but don't be skeptical...

At the top I've been using this budgeting spread sheet for years.
Love it as it's simple and pretty self explanatory.
Download the budget that fits your pay period and edit cell A2 and input your expenses for the pay period and you're done.

It automatically gives you information for the rest of the year according to what you input.

I suggest you visit http://creditboards.com/forums/ and look at the money management section. They have a few spreadsheets including a snowball one that will help pay off debt quicker.
