I use to watch this old movie with my mother...

It was called Imitation of Life...made in the late 50's,about a young girl trying to pass for white...who resents her black mother.

Juanita Moore played the mother and was nominated for an Oscar.

Watched it several times...and cried every time at the mother's death scene, then Mahalia Jackson singing at the funeral:crying:

Saddest thing ever...

Drago giving zero fucks afterwards

It was kinda cold blooded the way they got such a convincing performance out of little Rick Schroder, who was 8 years-old at the time. Legend has it, they told him that Jon Voight was actually dead.

Damn. :smh:

I posted this before. Makes the hardest man into straight BBQ bitch to the Nth power. Shit will make an addict relapse.

They have the audacity to make two live action films of it..I saw the 2005 version, that shit was more depressing than the anime one....but the second version I haven't seen yet...:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

From what I've been reading, the 2005 version is better...
