iight i just got new Subs in my car. i was wondering if there was something i could do to make sure that they dont get stolen just incase someone breaks into my shit. besides having an alarm on the car i mean. my boy was telling me about how he knew someone who had something that locks them in the trunk so no one can pull them out but i have no clue what he's talkin about...and he dont know either fully. anyone heard of something like that? any suggestions or tools that can be purchased?? let me know. thanks yall

Well to be honest you are not gonna stop a thief no matter what. So at least make it a bitch for them to get at your stuff. replace your screws with T- nuts or security head screws..

Use corner angels to mount your box down to your car. Switch up the sizes of the screws. 4 star, 5 star and 6 star screws to keep them guessing. Odds are a thief is not gonna carry a toolbox. Thieves like to get in and out before they get caught. This will slow them down a LOT....
Also, do you have a custom made box?

And always be responsible when you play it loud. Dont play it anywhere where you are going to park. Mall parking lots ect..

very good advice.....mount everything with some sort of screw that you cant use a flat head or phillips screwdriver on.

yo thanks a lot for the advice and thanks to everyone else. im looking into those t-nuts and security head screws tomorrow

If your car is real tight (wheels ,system, model) and they cant easily steal it you might end up getting jacked. I use to know some folks who thought jacking is much easier then breaking in.

Real talk its hard to stop it from occuring.. What BUU mentioned is a great idea but lemme tell you when you got @ least 2-3 folks trying to get that box out the trunk, you better believe that bitch coming out, they will rip that shit out and fuck up your car in the process, and when a few folx of mines would go "lickin" if they couldnt get it they would make sure you couldnt use it anymore str8 up destroy the shit...

Rather than facing the possibility of your shit getting stolen follow a few simple rules...
1. Try not to let ANYONE around you know, other than those folx you trust, that you have speakers..
2. Avoid crankin that shit up when you are near your home and/or where you will be parking.
3. If your car has tint, thats a big red target for them boys they love cars with tint b/c that means you working with something and they can conceal themselves with the tint while they work it out on your car. (I had several setups over the years, never got shit stolen until I put 5% on car and my shit got broken into 4 times within one year)

btw, one of my folx actually mounted his speakers beneath the two front seats in the car. The only way to get em' was to rip the seats out.

Happy beating!

much thanks for the advice

I think what he mean with the lock was a chain link and a heavy duty master lock. Very effective in the windy city.

The best solution for auto protection...

Good answer. He's right. The more time a Mofo see's, will deter most. L Bracket's are also good, star screws.

I used to have a ol school cutlass and what I did was get a chain and run it through the inside part of my trunk lid and then lock it with a master lock. its kind of hard to picture and i dont know if it can be done with every car but if anyone were to pop my trunk lock or open it from the inside of the car, the trunk lid would only open about 6 inches which would not be enough clearance to get my speakers out.

If they cant get them muthafuckas out they will stab the shit out of them with the screwdriver they use to pop out yo ignition!
