With its former defensive coordinator having been charged with horrific crimes involving young boys;

having fired its legendary coach, immediately, without even permitting him to finish the season;

with all the turmoil that is bound to surround the university and its athletic programs for an extended period; and,

with the announcement that NCAA President Mark Emmert will launch own investigation into alleged Jerry Sandusky sex-abuse case at Penn State, there is virtually no chance that Penn State will be able to recruit the kind of athletes required to sustain a program in the upper echelons of college football -- Penn State University is literally facing the death penalty, for the near future.
