Team,

I had a question about patents and the best ways to go about getting them and protecting your product if you dont have one. I have many ideas that have been logged and I am now in the process of working to bring 1 of them to light.

I have found a manufacturer and can be ready to take the next steps to bringing my invention to life.

I do not want to get my idea stolen but at the same time I do not have 10k to file for a patent. Any inventors or people w/ patent knowledge that know how to bring an idea to life, not have it stolen, w/o putting stacks up on the front end?

you can get something called a Provisional Patent and that protects your product for like a year

it's only like a 100 bucks

you can get it from anywhere....or you can go straight to the U.S patent office (I'm assuming you already know though)

sites like legalzoom can help you out along the way though...

as soon as you file, bam! you automatically protected

and remember to file your official patent application before the Provisional Patent expires so you wont be stuck being unprotected for a while

Yea thats true but the Provisional will only protect you so much. to be honest it really doesn't do anything the only way to protect yourself is to go all the way to patent status thats what was told to me by a guy who has over seven patents. when ever you introduce your product to anyone make sure they sign a nondisclosure agreement. i just received my initial paper work im at the patent pending stage. working on patents cost a lot of money bro im going to upload a book that should help you guys out alot. we need more developers in the patent game.
