The University of Oklahoma’s Gallogly College of Engineering is kicking off the “year of diversity” by shaming students to admit their privilege.

MRCTV reported that the school’s website “celebrates diversity” through campus events that “enhance awareness of the issues faced by underrepresented members of our engineering community and promote GCoE’s inclusive climate that is welcoming of all differences.”

GCE has placed red footprints across campus that gives out facts and figures about African Americans being under represented in educational achievement, despite the fact there’s no correlation that links those stats to institutional racism.

Another footprint tells students that it’s their “fault” not to admit their privilege — they don’t specify if they’re talking to a privileged black students who make up just 1.5 percent of the student population.

So while they don’t direct guilt at any single race — like Asians who are over represented in grad school and college overall. Blacks are told that they are the victim, and the system is keeping them down.

What the fuck is this shit?

white fucking liberals are lost

that shit reads like a pity campaign

poorly executed campaign w/ no purpose.
will probably serve to further isolate the few black eng students on campus.
if taken to a vote, the blacks on campus probably overwhelmingly hate the red footsteps.
put the dumbass red steps in the presidents & admissions office.
i do agree w/ the sentiment about denying privilege...

yup.

quantifying the outcome........ we already know the outcomes

quantify the process to expose the biases

but he knows that he can't rock the boat

even spielberg said don't change the composition of the oscar board

white people know what's up, they don't need us to them them the outcomes, they designed the process

I don't know who you're referring to which is why I asked the question.

Are you referring to the kids at the school or the black man (Jabari Shumate) who runs OU's diversity program as of last May?
White people who go out of their way to appear to be helping black people.

If kids are not actually IN THE COLLEGE fuck your red footsteps. Go mentor (CASH) A inner city middle school. Do something positive with the revenue all those Black athletes are generating

Those mothsfuckas are the worst. You ever tell someone from my airy, and then they say they used to live in mount airy. And then you're bored with the conversation and ask them why do you think your parents moved out of the neighborhood. And then you just walk away.
