They are not sea otters, but small-clawed otters. They like to swim, but give birth on land. And in Japan, it is legal for us to live with otters. These otters are our family and they trust us very much. So we could spend time with her when she gave birth. She chose to be in a large space with us rather than in a small, dark place.
