I need help find a good account to open for stock trading online. Can you guys recommend any good sites? I was recently looking at Trade King and E-Trade. Someone who offers good features with low stock trading cost and low on fees. Also any good stock to buy.

Sort of open ended questions. I am not sure what features you are really interested in. Chances are that many of the online brokerages have the same charts and analysis available for similar costs. Cats like Chase,Tripster,KJXXX, Gamersfuel, and others seem to be pretty knowledgeable in the stock market. Some advice they may give you:

  1. Come up with investment goals(short term/long term, income/growth,...)
  2. Learn basic analysis (MACD charts, P/E ratios, ...)
  3. Remove emotion
  4. Start researching companies and sectors that interest you
  5. Start virtual trading (never worked for me. I couldn't stay interested until it was real money. Don't be like me, I'm backwards)
  6. Remove emotion
  7. Research online brokerages and eventually select one that fits your needs
  8. Start investing.
The market fluctuates, you will lose $ at times
Remove emotion. Be cold and dilligent
You probably won't get rich in a day.

bump this thread. this is exactly what i wanted to come in and ask, but i'm glad a good brother already started the discussion.

basically, my credit card (w/ its 117.99% APR) will be paid off in the next week or two, and i'm looking to put my extra money to work.

i was gonna research e-trade and TDAmeritrade, but i have no clue what i'm looking for as far as what a company should be offering. i only dabbled in the market blindly when i was 19, but i didn't know what the hell iw as doing!
