The Mayor is on a pre-planned vacation (a train trip traveling through some remote areas of the country - with no TV/Cell/Blackberry service in most areas)

I don't agree with these statements. Maybe Mark Cuban embarrassed them, but i don't think Avery did. They got beat. Thats all. They never were a good defensive team to begin with. They have not one player that can guard a shooting guard. And of the teams that they faced on their way to the finals, who had a dominating shooting guard? Memphis? No way. San Antonion? I've been saying Manu is overrated. Phoenix? Come on now. They have no one on their team that can guard a center or a sg. And they didnt face any team that dominated in those positions until the finals.

They had a good chance to win, even though they didnt look too impressive in games 4 and 5, and the second half of game 6.

You can't say Avery should be fired. Where would Don Nelson have gotten them? The Mavs were in the top 3 for best record despite all the injuries they had. He took them to the Finals. No coach should be fired for that, unless you make it there 3 times and lose all three times. If you want to consider the fact that they had home court, then Popovich should be fired, as well as Flip.

It was a good finals.

Every point you have made about the Mavs I completly agree with.

They are a very good team however they were not tested in the West except for SA.

They had never seen East Coast D. When they did they started to cry foul.

Yes I can say that.

When you are up 2-0 and lose the series you have to ask some questions about leadership. Avery made a number of bad moves to hurt his teams mindset. He panicked. He switched hotels and made them room with each other. He sold them out in the press by saying they had a vacation mentality. He was too tense in the games and the players didn't trust themselves or each other. He hit Josh Howard in the nuts on purpose. He is the typical short guy overcompensating excessively for physical inadequicies.

It was a good finals.
