Because it's Duke. Coach K would've went off on one of his players if he punched an opposing player, even if he was defending another teammate... although IMO, trying to beat the shit out of the guy for a bitch move like that would be completely justified.

I have never seen a play that egregious even in the 80s. Dude was flying in mid air all the way to the goal post. I’ve seen some dirty undercuts but nothing like that.
