I think he had a pre-existing medical condition so the brawl wasn't responsible for his death as the news story has inferred.

Sidenote: My middle school died trying to break up a fight after school in the middle of the street. Man collapsed holding his chest and everybody scattered. Came to school the next day and they announced Mr. Waters passed away. My homeroom teacher had a Florida Evans moment and said “You damn kids caused it!” RIP Mr Waters, kids still ain’t shit these days.
