An SEC rematch is set for the Allstate BCS National Championship Game.

No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Alabama, which both play in the SEC West, will face off Jan. 9 in New Orleans with the national title on the line.

LSU won this season's first matchup between the teams, 9-6 in overtime Nov. 5.

Alabama (.942) edged Oklahoma State (.933) in the final BCS standings to earn the spot in the title game.

Did the BCS get it right?

Absolutely.

ROLL TIDE

No problem, its the 2 best teams, only thing left to say is the obligatory SEC, SEC, SEC

Bama is the only team with a chance to beat LSU anyway this is just on some what fair and whats not shit

Oklahoma St would have got beaten like they stole something

You all keep talking that noise about the SEC about how the media loves them and it's not fair but what you all fail to realize is this one thing... For the past 5 years no one has been able to touch our top team, and if you look at the past 10 years the SEC has 7 BCS champs plus a 13-0 Auburn team that should have got a split title with USC. If they are biased, it's because all we do is win win win!

Hell yeah that Auburn team should have been playing for the NC, and not Oklahoma who got stomped.

ok state has a great offense, but they are ranked 107 out of 120 teams, defensively.

all you have to do is actually look at their defense... it's like a chinese fire drill with guys wishing other guys would make (arm) tackles.

pitiful. :smh::smh::smh:

LSU would pound that defensive line into cheap hamburger meat quick.

Pretty much, until there is a playoff system some deserving squad will always be left out.

13-0 Auburn didn't happen in '04? BCS is fucked up period, see my above statement.
Oklahoma and USC started season 1 and 2 Auburn had to climb polls and since OU and USC didn't lose there was no way for them to jump the two teams. Adrian Peterson and J. White(Heisman winner) vs Reggie Bush and M. Leinart(Heisman winner). Everyone thought is was a great matchup but you forget Oklahoma had BIG GAME BOB.

Simple, Boise isn't in an AQ conference. They blew their season when they lost to TCU just like Houston blew theirs when they lost to USM.

I fuckin' hate this argument. How the fuck does the Big Least and ACC get automatic bids? Are you fuckin' kidding me? The BCS fucks the little guy every time. I get it, they play weaker comp. blah, blah, blah, but anyone with two good eyes in their head can see that BSU is a better team then anyone in the Big Least and could play with anyone in the ACC.

Yeah, I remember the scenario but it just solidifies the argument for a playoff.

It's gonna be kinda fucked up for LSU if they lose though. Alabama gets in basically by sittin on their azz. And it's gonna feel almost like a tie for the season, with both teams winning once each.

if I was a bama fan, i'd be really, really nervous about this game.

think about this... where does Les Miles get his nickname, the 'mad hatter?' dude is a gun-slinger, runs fakes, etc.

but this year, LSU has not run a single reverse, trick play, fake FG or even an on-sides kick. nothing.

this means that Les Miles is totally out of character or he's confident in his team's preparation and intensity... not needing any tricks to just pound teams.

my point: bama has no clue what the mad hatter might plan for this game... there is no 'tendency' tape to review for clues to trick plays or fake kicks from this year.

this means that bama might spend extra time preparing for the unknown. meanwhile LSU has seen a few of bama's tricks from the first desperate attempts to score vs. LSU.

Thats why I personally dont think Bama deserves another shot at LSU.

i dnt wanna see a rematch....this is the national champ game not the conference champ game....i rather see ok st. vs lsu and Bama can go play in da sugar bowl....i was way more heated that V-tech and Michigan are playin in da sugar bowl u fuckin serious Michigan and V-tech....V-tech got murdered against Clemson last nite and Michigan couldnt even make it to ther conf champ game...Boise st. and K-state deserve those spots they finished higher than both v-tech and mich...fuck the BCS once again
