People that are talking that "It was the Raiders." bullshit ain't thinking about how Sanders being in the game made the other side of the ball thinking, "We got a shot this week! Let's go ball out!". Cleveland's defense has been good all year, but yesterday, them boys hunted! You see Garrett's face when Sanders was making plays? Now, the coach is not sure who's going to start next game.
If they go back to Dillon next week, Myles is going to lose it.
Them dudes were fighting out there. Harold Fannin was punishing people every time he got the ball yesterday. Oline out there blocking on the screen for dylan sampson, dude getting get touched. Stefanski aint that stupid to not notice this to the spark the offense and the entire team had yesterday.
Here's the dilemma that Stefanski has and (I'm not sure why it would be a dilemma):
1. Dillon Gabriel is the guy that you wanted so you're going to give him all the reps to prove that you're right.
2. Shedeur comes in and uplifts the team and the fans and most importantly gets a win.
3. You have all these picks going into next year and don't want to win TOO much so your own first round pick is high enough to see if you can get a a generational QB(i really dont see any of those qbs in this draft)
4. Looming in the background, it's quite possible that Deshaun Watson is back to his old self after being out for so long so you may not need a QB (whether you stick with Shedeur or go with Deshaun, I think both have more potential than Gabriel)
5. With Shedeur, if you play him and he balls out and they win, you have to admit you were wrong and your job will be called into question so you will be putting yourself into a situation where you have a qb that you didnt pick and seem to have something against personally
So...what do you do? Swallow your pride and go all in on Shedeur for the rest of the season or continue to want to prove your brilliance and trot DG out there and angering the fans and turning the team on you but at the same time, getting a high pick to go and pick ANOTHER qb.
The answer seems easy to me but we know coaches can be stubborn
