}~~~> Official 2024/2025 NBA Thread<~~~{ the conference finals are here West Minny vs OKC 1-4, East Pacers vs NYC 3-2)

:giggle:yes it is and i hate it :giggle:as do most NBA fans!
yeah sports is better when there's a team to hate. the nba has had a lot of parity but i think a few of these teams can go on a 5 year run of winning a few conference championships and championsips. just had to give time for lbj/steph generation to run its course. i hope these players who getting their contracts start looking at them and deciding to take a little less to keep their championship teams together. it doesn't make sense for the older players to have these max deals caude it guts the team. its a double edeged sword.

no more 5 year runs with this CBA book that; and the NBA hasnt had a lot of parity; it existed in the 70s for a short period and it exist now; other than that it has been the same teams winning since 1980; remember contracts are only like 4 years; you think OKC can pay Chet Shai and Jay the max?? just think about this; lets say they dont get max and only get 40 mill per; thats 3 players at 120 mill; thats if they dont get max; so that salary cap is 140(only 20 mill more) and the luxury is 170; a team has to have at least 12 or 13 players i think; are you fully understanding the numbers now?? the starters alone will put you well about the luxury tax; now ask yourself what team owner is gonna want to pay a payroll of 400-500 million for 5 years???

And here's another fuck you to the NBA schedule. Kat looked hurt at the end of the last game and the Pacers look ready to male this thing official.

If the Pacers get locked in on Thursday, the Finals should be starting on Sunday. Do we really need an extra week.
