Unemployment at 9.4%, but job loss rate lowest in 8 months.

I hope they are, but the GM and Chrysler bankruptcies have yet to reach their full negative affects. And the financial industry has yet to be cleaned up. It is virtually the same entity it was during the peak of the crisis, if we have reached the peak.

As the world turns. Hopefully we are seeing the bottom of this recession.

If the administration could do something about this got damn oil speculators driving up the cost of fuel that would be great for everybody. We are now paying 2.45 a gal in Vegas.

True...the public's expectations have been lowered to practically zero.

One of the "sciences" of economics is "talking up" the economy. This is done more and more over in the US economy over the last 30 years or so, since real wealth among middle and lower classes exists less and less. Facts play little in the psychology of materialism/consumerism.

The Fundamentals are not "Sound"! Ya'll killin me

YAY! The recession is over! Here comes economic prosperity! If CNBC says it's so, we know it has to be true.

So... Obama did it.

It was his fine appointment of Geithner, his bank bailouts, his nationalization of the auto companies, his government spending, and his two wars that worked.

I'm so glad people are seeing the value of bigger government, low interest rates, and stimulus packages.

Obama is finally following the successful strategies of George W. Bush.

Happy days are here again (namely Bush days).

Barack following Bush. Everyone follows a winner.

Why do you guys all sound like the last right wing talk show hosts? Its not even conversation anymore. Just blurt out disconnected phrases as mindless as you can like you're yelling in a picket line.

The other thing y'all do a lot is no matter how benign the conversation is. Could be about gas prices. "Man, would be good if the administration could look into these gas prices..." and rather than co-sign it would be a good thing, instantly you turn into raving lunatics with a laundry list of all kinds of disconnected bullshit, none of which has anything to do with gas.

The nuttiest bunch I've ever seen in my adult life. :smh:

I'm saying Obama is the 3rd term of Bush.

So, you're saying right-wing talk show hosts believe the same?

Uh, sure.

VG, you are hilarious! If you ever bothered to look into some of the responses, at least from me, You would understand the administration can't do a damn thang about gas prices, food prices, medical prices, home prices etc. Thats all controlled by the Federal Reserve (a group of international private bankers) who have no accountability to the govt. They are independent of govt. Prices rise as a result to the inflation of the money supply. The Fed issues the currency. Hence, the Fed controls monetary policy

What you're seeing from the media is the same "smoke and mirrors" that Geithner went over to China with last week and got embarrassed cause some students knew he was full of sh*t and started laughin' at his a**! The fundamentals are not sound VG.

Since when has understanding economics made someone a "right-winger"? I'm anti-war, so the right-wing aint got a place for me but I understand that we are dependent on the Chinese for the financing of our Stimulus', Bailouts, Wars, and that aint good! Wake up!
