A brazen Chicago gangbanger wanted for trying to remove guns from cops’ holsters is daring the city’s Finest to come get him — and warning he’ll be armed when they do.
Richard Sharp, 24, who goes by the name “Famous Richard” on TikTok, has been posting clips of himself approaching New York cops as he tries to reach for their weapons.
The TikToker, a self-described member of the street gang known as the Black Disciples, has 12 arrests under his belt — including three for firearm possession and a “history of assault on law enforcement,” the NYPD has said.
As news spread that Big Apple cops were looking for Sharp — who posted at least three clips of himself taunting NYPD officers, he wasn’t exactly laying low.
“I’m not ducking no smoke, shorty,” he said in a Tiktok video posted Friday. He has about 3,500 followers on the platform.

In the clip, which has been viewed about 159,000 times, Sharp pats his side as if he were carrying a weapon and adds, “They’re talking about NYPD out looking for me ok…I’m gonna keep that thing with me too shorty.”
He references “King David” in the footage, aka Davis Barksdale, the founder of the Black Disciples.
The NYPD put out a safety alert to officers this week, warning them to “remain vigilant” if Sharp came their way.

The cop can be seen repeatedly asking Sharp to “move his hand” as the creep waves a finger in the officer’s face while unleashing a racist verbal attack.
“Get back, Bruce Lee-looking man,” Sharp tells the officer, adding, “Stop playing me, shorty before I do that to your ass.”
The NYPD safety alert warned that sharp has been “terrorizing” cops, “trying to grab their weapons and invading personal space.
“All [cops] should remain vigilant, maintain situational awareness and utilize safe tactics at all times,” the alert noted.

“This guy is a punk trying to make a name for himself,” said a retired detective. “I don’t even want to talk about him because that just gives him more street cred. He is a sad nobody.”
Another officer slammed Sharp as a “little nobody,” but added, “cops have to be careful when people try to grab their gun. He needs to be locked up.”
The disrespect comes as officers have been retiring in record numbers.

“The taunting of officers in public – which is harassment and obstructing governmental administration – are crimes that won’t be prosecuted in all five borough DA’s offices,” said retired NYPD Lt. John D. Macari, 42, who left the job after 18 years last year.
“The lack of respect for police in New York City — from perpetrators to elected officials — is a major contributing factor to the mass exodus occurring with the NYPD,” he added.
“It’s not a good plan and he’s going to have a whole different outlook when he’s caught,” Joseph Giacalone, a retired NYPD sergeant and adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, said of Sharp.

A cop-taunting drill rapper wanted for trying to remove guns from officers’ holsters — and then boasting on social media that he would never be caught — was not only arrested, but “crying in his cell,” cops said.
Richard Sharp, a self-proclaimed member of the Chicago-based Black Disciples street gang who performs under the name Famous Richard, was busted on May 12 in Jamaica, Queens, several weeks after cops released a safety alert about his brazen antics.
Sharp, of Chicago, was obstructing traffic with another person in front of 178-07 119 Road, when cops ordered him to get out of the street, cops said.
He refused and barked, “I’m going to take your pipe.”
He intended “to intimidate officers and caused reasonable expectation of fear of taking the officer’s firearm,” an NYPD spokesperson said.
The officer then tried to arrest Sharp, who waved his arms wildly and tensed his body so the officer couldn’t handcuff him, officials said.
Sharp was arraigned on charges of making a terroristic threat, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, menacing and disorderly conduct — which are all eligible for bail — and was released on his own recognizance.

As he shot video of himself getting released from a police stationhouse after his arrest last week, a cop tells him that he was “crying in our cells” when his phone was taken.

Sharp continued to film the cops, but they turned the tables and repeatedly reminded him about the crying.

“I’m King David,” Sharp says on a TikTok video as he points his index finger in a police officer’s face in Times Square, making a reference to gangster David Barksdale, the founder of the Black Disciples who died in 1947. “How you coming, Shorty?”

“You’re the guy that got arrested,” the young police officer responds. “You were crying in the cells. I remember that.”

Sharp shot another video in Midtown North Precinct where another group of cops remind him of his crybaby ways.

“What’s up son. You was crying in the cells last week, right?” the officer tells Sharp as he films.

“Who told you that?” Sharp demands.

“I saw you, bro,” the cops responds.

Sharp then asks another nearby police officer, “I was crying in the cells?”

“You were crying in the cells, big guy,” the officer responds.

“Stop lying on my name,” Sharp replies. “You got everybody on TikTok thinking I was really crying.”

The NYPD issued its safety alert in April after Sharp posted TikTok clips of himself approaching NYPD cops and reaching for their weapons. He also racially harassed an Asian officer in one video, but later took it down.

Sharp has 12 arrests under his belt — including three for firearm possession and a “history of assault on law enforcement,” the NYPD has said.

Despite the newest arrest, Sharp took to social media again to taunt police and tell them they couldn’t catch him.

A social media prankster with a penchant for taunting the NYPD picked on the wrong cop — and ended up in handcuffs on an attempted robbery rap.
Aspiring comedian and drill rapper Richard Sharp, 24, who goes by “Famous Richard” online, allegedly tried to shoot video of a Port Authority Police officer Friday when the alert cop recognized him as a wanted man from an earlier robbery attempt in Manhattan — and slapped on the cuffs.
“A YouTuber who films his antagonistic interactions with police officers approached Port Authority Police Officer Bradley DeSalvo in the 8th Avenue entrance of the Port Authority Bus Terminal,” wrote the Port Authority Police Benevolent Association union on Instagram.
“As the YouTuber was about to begin his act with a cohort filming, PO DeSalvo had a different trick up his sleeve,” the post said.
“It’s not clear if his cameraman captured the arrest on film, but he can rest assured the PAPD did. Isn’t it ironic?”

Sharp was wanted for an incident at a smoke shop on Broadway, in which he allegedly got into a dispute with employees “over the price of the property” shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday, according to a criminal complaint filed by Manhattan prosecutors,
He then allegedly unzipped his black coat and flashed what appeared to be a gun before leaving the store, the complaint states.

Court records show Sharp pleaded not guilty to a first-degree attempted robbery charge at his arraignment Friday, and was released without bail.
Sharp, a self-proclaimed member of Chicago’s Black Disciples street gang, has long taunted cops in social media videos, at times pointing fingers in cops’ faces and even trying to reach for their guns.
“That’s a real Glock on your hip?” he asked one cop. “Let me hold that mother f—er.”

In several clips, Sharp calls cops on patrol “shorty” as he teases them, and makes repeated references to “King David” — a shout-out to Black Disciples founder David Barksdale.
In April, he posted on X as he berated and ridiculed an Asian-American cop in Times Square.
“Get back, Bruce Lee-looking man,” he’s heard telling the officer. “On King David, you’re acting like Bruce Lee, shorty. Stop playing me, shorty before I do that to your ass.”
The pesky clown didn’t go unnoticed by New York’s Finest, who issued an alert that he had been trying to snatch guns from officers on patrol during the spring.

He was later released, but not before law enforcement sources said he cried like a baby while behind bars.
Sharp is due back in court in February in the attempted robbery case.
