I heard about this story and I think he did lose his job. Just cause he wanted them out of his car doesn't mean that it was because they were lesbians. If it was a heterosexual couple the reaction could have been the same. But for whatever reason that is how the narrative is gonna get spun.
Not all, again not all but there some muslims of middle eastern descent or heritage who can be very xenophobic from my experience. Your never called the N=Word to your face but your getting this very unspoken but distinct unwelcomed sense of dislike type vibe from them. It's almost similar or parrallel to the racist vibe you get from a white person when they don't call you the N-word outright. So at first your caught off guard cause your not sure why your getting this vibe cause you just literally met this person. But if you live long enough on earth you can tell when someone has a very deep ingrained xenophobic mindset towards you.
