What kind of i7?I want to build a new rig or get new cards for my old one. 32 gigs of RAM on deck i7 still good on it. Decisions Decisions![]()

That CPU still performs well with current games but i would definitely upgrade if you're trying to get the new Turing cards since you'll get a CPU bottleneck. More games will be utilizing multiple cores so you're better off looking at a Ryzen or i7-8700k.I have this one:
Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W BX80623I72600K
Running dual / sli GPU's:
Evga GTX 760 4gb FTW

If you're not trying to go for 4k gaming then stick with your CPU and get a 1080.
If the RTX 2080ti can't reliably do 4k60 in AAA titles with all settings maxed, I'll skip this generation.
Nice...

How's SLI going for you?
Cool, I was gonna pick up the x27 but I will probably hold off a year after seeing the 2000 series. I just can't go back to 60fps after 144hz at 1440pNot as good as it used to be. I have to use Inspector on new games a lot.
Once my profile is set, I'm good to go. I game on a 4K monitor, so it worth it.
Where'd you get your braided cabling kit? I want that for my current setup

I was eyeing a budget friendly gaming laptop with the 1060 in it before the end of the year ... This just means it'll be even cheaper by Christmas.
I'm not a big gamer, just need 1080P to run glitch free. So to me, the tech is truly going in a great direction. Hell phones may soon be able to this shit too.... (obviously not tomorrow, however it wont be more than 10yrs either) .
Cool
I have a gtx 980 that will still play any big box titles at high settings. Yeah I might not be able to play at 4k but most people don't have 4k monitors.6GB GTX 1060 is a helluva card. Will do 1080 easily..

Why is the 1080ti only $25 less than the 2080ti on Amazon. I get that this year's model is a disappointment but that still seems a bit odd to me.
