Now that it's Thanksgiving, what do ya'll feel about ...

all i know is i went to my first american thanksgiving thing ever and found it to be thoughtless gluttony. fucking disgusting. i am snacking on the leftovers i was sent home with as i type this but damn, people are starving out there and what is the meaning behind the celebration? BTW, also, parsnips are fucking disgusting and nobody should ever have to eat those even starving people. Once again, happy day the white people stole the land and killed the Indians. :hmm:

I hear BG but you have to admit there's something a little comical about that hi-lited area since you were still eating. :lol: BTW who the hell you eating with? Parsnips? I've never known anyone to eat them. :confused:

But I have to agree with you on the amount of food available at the average household. It is much too much and this is just the start until the end of the year. Office, Christmas parties, New Years and who knows what else... :eek:

In answer to your question, Thanksgiving is a day set aside to give thanks to God for his blessings and the things we have. The true meaning for this an mostly all other holidays has been lost.

While packing 200 thanksgiving packages at the Salvation Army I just kept thinking, 5 canned vegetables, a soup, two pastas, crackers with cheese, 1 cake mix, 1 cranberry sauce or pumpkin filling . . . that's what some families were basically going to have for thanksgiving.

:(

An out of boxes of donated canned goods, a lot of those families did not get cranberry sauce, I just couldn't find any. I had to give some people canned mackerel.

:(

An Christmas is coming.

:(

Absolutely disgusting !! :puke::puke:
I'll take a plate...:D

Glad i can count on your support ...
