Two men slashed in face on busy NYC subway platform — attacker remains on the loose

Two men were slashed in the face on a Queens subway platform on Wednesday afternoon — and their attacker remains on the lam, according to authorities.
Police received a 911 call at 3:20 p.m. that two men were slashed on the southbound platform of the E and F train at the Union Turnpike subway station in Kew Gardens, according to the NYPD.
When officers arrived, they discovered a 42-year-old man with a laceration to his forehead and a 50-year-old man with a laceration to his face, cops said.

The two men appeared stunned and were seen holding tissues to their bleeding wounds, as concerned straphangers surrounded them on the bustling platform.
One woman was seen graciously holding pressure to the straphanger’s forehead as he made a phone call.

The events leading up to the slashing are not immediately clear.
