To me this is actually an improvement over the currnent model. It wouldn't hurt them to tweak it a little before they put it into production, but it's an improvement over the old model IMO...........................

I bet it drives nicely though. They gave me a rental Maxima last month, I loved the CVT transmission. You don't feel that shit changing at all. It's like being in a plane. The acceleration is linear.

The new 7th gen maxima looks 10 times better than the current 6th gen.. It looks nothing like a 5series. Nissan always go back and forth on their design cues from their luxo market infiniti. Its funny cause the Germans been biting infiniti's style now for a while.

The best maxima imo was the 4th gen 95-99 model. They really set it off with that one.

Looking at this 7th gen it is going to look sweet once you mod it with lower suspension, bigger wheels and a front chin or lip.

Too bad they should have gone awd as an option, rwd on the sport and base models.
