NFL fans stunned by Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts' modest $2,000-a-month apartment

It's very smart of him to do that, goes to show he won't go broke after his NFL career is over because he didn't live beyond his means even if he could afford to do so.

A lot of players should be doing that, too many players want these big homes that cost millions not realizing how much money it takes to manage those big homes along with other insurances and bills they have to pay..

Hurts is a humble player on and off court.

Hurts should mentor these young upcoming QBs who want to make it to the NFL, to teach them the importance of managing their money.

Ud be surprised how many athletes in certain areas do similar things now.. nj is close to ny and Philly.. so athletes in all 3 of those states sometimes navigate towards jersey condos cause they are cheaper and there’s literally certain areas dedicated to certain people who live certain lifestyles.. I know some of my young boys from ny that got condos out in nj and ud be surprised who lives in their buildings.. you could get a multi bedroom apt for 3000, with washing machine , multiple bathrooms, gym in the building, lounge, bbq area, parking spaces, some places have theatres, pool tables, etc

Yeah the main crib is in TX, so it make sense to have a cheap apartment to live in during the season....
Yeah, but with the way these players get traded, they have to at least make sure they have a spot that's affordable to live (rental) when they get traded and have to travel a lot.

But them condos or luxury apartments are expensive depending on what a player likes that they could be spending way more than 2k a month.

I was once at LeSean McCoy's house. A place like that usually runs like $6000.

So are we to ignore he also owns a mansion and luxury cars? The media seems to think we love when we hear that wealthy people are living humble modest lives :hmm:

Back in the day Darrelle Revis used to live in a regular apartment above a restaurant and drove a regular car in Florham Park when he played for the Jets. He just blended in like a average Joe.
