NFL Debate: Who are YOUR favorites for the 2017 Hall of Fame class?

After the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2016 was enshrined Saturday night, the process of the selecting the Hall's Class of 2017 is already underway.

Here's a look at some of the players eligible for induction who figure to get heavy consideration among the 15 modern-era finalists, including players who are in their first year of eligibility:

Running back Terrell Davis: A two-time finalist for the Hall of Fame, including in 2016, Davis is one of only three non-quarterbacks in league history to have won the league MVP award and Super Bowl MVP award in their careers. He averaged 142.5 yards rushing per game in the postseason, the highest total in league history. He had seven 100-yard rushing games in the postseason and the Broncos went 7-0 in those games, including two Super Bowl victories.

Safety John Lynch: A finalist in 2016, Lynch was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and was a mainstay in one of the league's best defenses in his career. The Buccaneers team that won Super Bowl XXXVIII finished with the league's best defense that season.

Wide receiver Terrell Owens: He finished his career with 1,078 receptions, 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns. His yardage total is second all time, and his touchdown total is third all time. He had nine 1,000-yard receiving seasons in an 11-year span during his career.

Running back LaDainian Tomlinson: In his first year of eligibility, the 2006 NFL MVP was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and finished his career with 13,684 yards rushing to go with 4,772 yards receiving. In all, he scored 162 touchdowns in his career, 145 rushing.

Quarterback Kurt Warner: A two-time NFL MVP (1999 and 2001), Warner was Super Bowl XXXIV MVP with a title-game record 414 yards passing in the St. Louis Rams' 23-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Also, in 2008, he led the Arizona Cardinals to their first division title since 1975 and is the only quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards in three Super Bowls.

Others to watch: K Morten Andersen (finalist in 2016); S Steve Atwater (finalist in 2016); coach Don Coryell (finalist in 2016); S Brian Dawkins (first year of eligibility); G Alan Faneca (finalist in 2016); T Joe Jacoby (finalists in 2016); RB Edgerrin James (finalist in 2016); DE Jason Taylor (first year of eligibility).
