They rarely update them, but often promise that they will. But most Android phones have a similar problem imho.
Samsung will not be getting my money.. I will just keep the Nexus 1 until they let HTC make something else..

This won't be Samsung's phone. It will be Googles, manufactured by Samsung.
So with that, you get all the cool priority updates by having a Google phone.
If it's a HSPA+ device, I may have to leave Sprint for it..![]()
If that's the case, I'll definitely be all over this! I missed the Nexus One boat. Didn't really understand all that it was about until it had stopped production and the prices skyrocketed.
HSPA+ -- i'm ready to go!
Google branded means all the updates first and a dev phone!
Yeah the only thing that holds me back (a bit) is that I'm going to have to learn a whole new language. I'm coming off of 5 years + of Blackberry and pretty much understand it and the workarounds inside and out.
But, RIM is disappointing me. It's like they refuse to create a true competitor to the mediaphones that are on the market. Storm lol! Not to mention it doesnt' look like RIM is in a rush to get a HSPA+ capable phone to Tmo.
I want this thieme though:

Man...You still talking about being scared to give up that old curve?
Get your feet wet with an HD2 off of craigslist. Got mine for $200. They go cheap cause windows sucks so bad and slap Android on there. You even get the HSPA service.
Nah, not that at all.
Everytime I get ready to jump - a newer better Android for Tmo comes out.
I was going to get the Vibrant S.
30 days later, the G2 was on the market. Finally a 4G for Tmo. Got ready to jump on it.
30 days later the MyTouch 4G was on the market. Got ready to jump on it
--- now the Nexus 2 is about to drop.
I think if the Nexus 2 comes though, I'll definitely jump on it.
What's the HD2 like? You can get Windows off it and install Android without fucking up everything?
It runs on top of windows but you'd never know it. Smooth & even Faster than my old Nexus was (This was before Froyo).
Here's mine...

If your gonna do contracts jump on the Mytouch 4G. I Checked it out today..Very nice build quality and Wireless calling which is what kept me tied to the 9700 long after it was outdated.
Nice.
Where are the directions to overlay Android on it and where do you get Android?
If I can screw around with Android and get a 4G phone for $200 used, I'll take that jump no problem.
