Unfortunately C.C. Sabathia failed at getting his 20th win. However, the yankees have 7-games remaining, which may provide C.C. another chance at getting 20-wins for this season. I say may because New York will be in 'play-off mode', thus making another 'chance' an afterthought. Main -line players are usually 'rested' in preparation for post-season activity.
Also, the 'opt-out clause' comes into play after this season for Sabathia, allowing him to resign with another team. Doing so will cost him around $75M. He probbably won't exercise that clause....especially at his age (32). Pitchers usually don't command BIG CONTRACTS at that age. Some Position players do, but starting pitchers usually don't. Especially with the anemic economy.
