Gary pumped his arms skyward before he rounded first base, convinced that the ball was leaving the yard. He was greeted by his teammates, who pour from the dugout, amid a standing ovation from the crowd. He's definitely relieved at putting #500 behind him.
He also joins four former ballplayers--three of whom are HOF'ers--Willie Mays, Reggie Jackson, Frank Robinson, and Barry Bonds as the only players to have at least 500-HRS, alongwith 2500-hits, 1500 RBI's, and 200-stolen bases. A very select group.
