What would Knives Out have looked like if its colorful cast of eccentric characters were hunting not a murderer but a monster? The result might resemble the new horror-comedy Werewolves Within, judging by the film's just-released trailer.
"Werewolves Within is essentially about a divided town that [gets] snowed in at the local lodge," filmmaker Josh Ruben, who directed last year's Scare Me, recently told EW. "The forest ranger, played by Sam Richardson, and the local postal worker, Milana Vayntrub, try to keep the peace while also figuring out what the hell is lurking in the shadows, terrorizing this town."
The list of werewolf-suspects is played by a murderers' row of comedy notables and familiar supporting players including Harvey Guillén, Cheyenne Jackson, George Basil, Michaela Watkins, Anni Krueger, Sarah Burns, Michael Chernus, Wayne Duvall, Catherine Curtin, and Rebecca Henderson. The film also features a notably hairy turn by Billions and Joker actor Glenn Fleshler.

"I loved that he was down for a beard and long hair," says Ruben. "He ended up looking like Jason Momoa."
Werewolves Within is written by Mishna Wolff and will screen at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival. The film is released in theaters on June 25 and on demand July 2.

You know what’s worse than a werewolf? A secret werewolf. That the sort of monster that can tear a community apart—unless Veep’s Sam Richardson and Milana Vayntrub (our would-be Squirrel Girl) can hold it together while searching for the hidden, furry killer.
Curiously enough, Werewolves Within is based on a 2016 VR game, which took place in a medieval fantasy town. This movie adaptation moves the mysterious werewolf attacks to a small town in modern times, but adds a hell of a cast including Richardson, Vayntrub, What We Do in the Shadows’ fantastic Harvey Guillén, Cheyenne Jackson, Michaela Watkins, Rebecca Henderson, and Glenn Fleshler. Despite what is clearly going to be some gory murder, the film looks incredibly... wholesome?

I guess I just like the idea of a werewolf failing to tear a small community apart, even as it tears its victims limb from limb. It’s rated R, for the record.

Directed by Josh Ruben and written by Mishna Wolff, Werewolves Within will be in theaters on June 25, but also hit VOD on July 2 if you’re not prepared to venture outside quite yet. That’s quite understandable, given all those werewolves roaming about.

You probably have.
A far superior film called:

The Beast Must Die. (1974)

A wonderful type of horror "Who done it" in which a bunch of people are stranded on an island owned by a millionaire/hunter (Calvin Lockhart) who's trying to solve the mystery of which guest is a werewolf and trying to kill it. (Surprise twist ending: The werewolf ain't who you think it is). ;)

Truly a horror masterpiece in the same vein as "Night of The Living Dead" because it's an all star cast where Black people are the main leads.

I remember this one. But it was another flick I’m thinking of, but this only tells me how unoriginal this movie really is if two different movies already had the same plot line. Lol
