A brand-new Batman movie trilogy is on the way. DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation today confirmed that it will bring Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall to the International Animation Film Festival next month. In the announcement, the studio also confirmed that this film is the first in a planned trilogy adapting the 1990s DC Comics "Knightfall" storyline.
For those unfamiliar, "Knightfall" is the storyline in which Bane broke Batman's back. As a result, Bruce Wayne was forced to relinquish the mantle of Batman for a time. His replacement brought a less humane form of justice to Gotham, and Bruce eventually had to heal up and fight to reclaim the name, Batman.
Some elements of the "Knightfall" storyline may be familiar to fans of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. The story was one comic book that inspired the plot of that series' final film, The Dark Knight Rises, in which Tom Hardy plays Bane.…
What I like about these animated movies now is they’re now rated PG-13 to rated R. For example, I liked this Batman movie where he traced down a serial killer.
