i just don't know. they keep trying with superman though. i shouldn't comment, i grew up a marvel kid. maybe this will be the breakthrough they've been hoping for

DC should be where Marvel is right now.....
They always had all the rights to their characters but between Nolan's Batman and Singer's Superman Returns, they never had a plan to have a true cinematic universe.
They should have never let Singer do Superman Returns as a sequel to the Christopher Reeve/Richard Donner films.
They should have started from scratch, maybe build off Nolan's Batman, or started from Scratch with Superman, Wonder Woman and a new Batman stand alone films.
Then have a trinity film to round up the first phase of movies
Then introduce a second phase of films with other characters, such as Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Aquaman, etc...
Then do a Justice League film where they face off against Steppenwolf and Co. and introduce Darkseid (like in the Snyder Cut) to finish off Phase two.
Then from there scale back to a World's Finest film, introduce Braniac as the next big bad villain for the next set of Justice League films and have Darkseid still in the background watching Earth...
Have the Justice League up in the Watchtower and expand the team introducing new members for cannon fodder...
Then finish off Phase 3 with the Justice League battling Darkseid after his invasion of Earth.
From there they can do Crisis on Infinite Earths similar to how Marvel did their multiverse saga....
Man I could be here all night doing fan fiction....I loved the DC comics when I was a kid, they always had better stories but WB never took the time to plan their films out. Marvel had a plan, ran with it and the rest is history.

Hindsight is 20/20..... Marvel gave them the blueprint, they wanted to make their own shortcut.

I never got into the CW shows. Watched a little bit of Flash early on but lost interest

Studio always gets in the fucking way. I wonder if James Gunn will be able to avoid this. I doubt it, they'll find a way to fuck it up
$365 Million says he can do whatever the fuck he wants....... that's a wild amount of $$$ for a reboot / reintroduction........jeez

Dude seems like a good Clark..... in some scenes he has a real baby face...... not sure how believable he will be as Supes......
But so far so good to me..... I may actually go see this in the theaters.
1st week....... $123 Million US, maybe an additional $57 Million international.
At least 4 weeks to cover the $365 Million.
Subtleties....the way his voice/demeanor changes when he is talking to Lois as Clark to how he sounded like Superman was well done. Reminds me of how Christopher Reeve would change his posture and the way he spoke when he was Clark vs how he spoke as Superman.
I think he will be a very good Superman, better than Cavill.

Because Superman has always been a huge fucking simp. And that doesn't connect with the modern man.
The suspension of disbelief is a big part as well.
