good shyt....welcome back....I will be relocating to New Orleans at the end of the week after being away 17 years.
My two favorites whenever I stop through NO...Heading down south next week and curious on great food spots in NO. Any suggestions? Particularly black creole cuisine?
Looking for all the staples as this is our first time down there. Etouffe, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Po Boys, Muffalatas, Seafood boils etc ..
Put me on family.
Definitely puttin these on the list, thanks. Came across a joint named Dooky Chase that 3 different folks told us bout.My two favorites whenever I stop through NO...
For Breakfast / Brunch, my go to is Surrey's Cafe on Magazine.
For all things black creole, Lil Dizzy's Cafe on Esplanade is mandatory eating.
I’m hearing a lot aboutTo bump an older thread. I am going home for a week during mardi gras and I haven't been home for longer than a day in years. Where is the best king cake? Best po boy spot for shrimp or oyster po boys? I usually go to the gas station on broad and banks to get my po boys when I am in town. And best daiquiri spot for locals?

I never did any tours and yeah you need a car unless you RTA bound and that is not a look for a visitor. I think there are cemetary tours both haunted and regular. And prolly one covering french quarters and cbd but I can't speak on that one man. What sites or tours do yall recommend? Is a rental car necessary?
Any poboy spots better than the one on broad and banks for seafood poboys? I am sure there are tons but the ones I went to before are closed.
