This is the love/hate relationship I have with Hip Hop.

Hip Hop is partially the reason why singers like Minnie Riperton developed a fan base of youngersters who weren't even born when she died in 1979 but the flipside is that it causes some people to not give the proper respect to the original and sometimes very legendary producers.

Last night I was walking in a parking lot and heard the baseline from a car parking. And it was the Cardi song. It really hit me that it was the end of an era.

Cardi essentially ruined a Hip Hop classic.
